Optional feature usage measurement records a feature category (such as Reels or MGH Explorer), estimated active seconds, visit and event identifiers, a pseudonymous account identifier, and a server timestamp. It runs only for signed-in members who enable analytics in Cookie Settings, while the app is visible and active. Admin accounts are excluded. These records and reports are restricted to administrators by backend permissions; members and advertisers cannot access them. This measurement does not record message contents, search terms, precise location, or the content you view. Disabling analytics stops future collection on that browser. Reports are estimates and may undercount interrupted or offline activity.
New members select a private country when joining MGH; region remains optional. Members can manage their area preferences in profile settings. Administrators can see member counts and membership by area. Where an existing profile country can be recognised, it may be used for country grouping; missing areas are shown as not provided. Area-based advertising requires a separate member opt-in and is limited to adult accounts with a known date of birth. Advertisers select countries or regions but do not receive member lists, member counts, or feature usage reports from these controls. This area preference does not use GPS and is not added to public profiles.
We may use analytics and diagnostic tools to understand how users interact with My Ghost Hunt and to identify technical issues.
